East Moline Silvis Soccer Club
EMSSC was founded in 1981 to provide youth soccer to the cities of East Moline, Silvis, and surrounding communities.
The club consists of a
Recreation Program designed to introduce kids to the game of soccer, and a
Travel Program
(Illowa Youth Soccer) for those wishing to advance their skills and play at a more competitve level.
Jacobs Northeast Park hosts all Rec games, many Illowa games, and is the site of the
Labor Day Shoot Out (LDSO) and
Fight Back tournaments.
The annual LDSO tournament has been a Quad Cities staple for 24 years drawing nearly 80 teams for 4 days of
competitive soccer.
Introduced in 2009, the Fight Back tournament hosted over Memorial Day Weekend focuses on cancer awareness with a
portion of the tournament proceeds going to cancer research. In its first year, $3000 was donated by EMSSC to the
American Cancer Society.
Annual Fee Structure

$50

*When registering in the fall, this fee covers both the fall and spring sessions. If registering in the spring
the fee is still the same, but only includes the spring session. Each child will receive a team t-shirt with their
registration.

$125

*This fee covers tournament entry fees. The club provides each team with a tournament fund. If the team exhausts their
fund, coaches may request additional money of their players for participation in more tournaments. This fee does not
included uniform costs which are approximately $100. Uniforms are typically expected to last a player 2 years.
All Pride team members who qualify as U12 Rec Players and below are required to participate in the
Recreation Program and pay registration fees for that program.

Fundraising
Fundraising is an essential part in the continuing operation of the club. The money raised is used to offset
registration and tournament entry fees. As a result, all club members
(Players and Parents) are required to participate in the club fundraising events. All participants of the Rec
Program are required to sell spirit cards during the 2009/2010 season. Pride team members are required to
participate in the annual Pride fundraisers and club tournaments. Failure to participate in required
activities may result in team sanctions or an increase in next season's registration fees.
